Rumor: Multiple 'Solo' Sequel Series Focused On Lando, Maul Coming To Disney+

We are now two years removed from the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story and the fan's admiration for the film continues to grow despite its disappointing box office numbers. #MakeSolo2Happen, a popular hashtag as of of late, has been part of a grassroots movement asking Lucasfilm to give Solo a much deserved sequel. While new Star Wars films seem to only be on the distant horizon, we just might be getting a Solo sequel(s) in an unexpected way.

First off, our friends Noah Outlaw and Corey Van Dyke from Kessel Run Transmissions are reporting that, according to their sources, Donald Glover has signed on to reprise his role as Lando Calrissian in an upcoming Disney+ series in which he will star. And while nothing is confirmed, they also hint that the legendary Billy Dee Williams could be involved in some way. You can view the Kessel Run Transmissions video where Noah and Corey reveal the news below:

Secondly, The Direct has released their own scoop regarding potential Solo sequels. Citing "insider sources" they report that Darth Maul and Qi'ra, played once again by Emilia Clarke, will be returning on Disney+. Here's what The Direct had to say:

"The Direct can exclusively report that Darth Maul will appear in multiple live-action Star Wars series for Disney+ in the coming years, according to our insider sources. Among these series, Lucasfilm is developing a live-action show that will be focused on the antagonist. In addition, Qi'ra is expected to feature prominently in the series, played once again by Emilia Clarke."

Of course, despite this news coming from some trusted sources, all of this should be considered a rumor until officially confirmed by Lucasfilm.
