Back in 2017, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Lucasfilm released From a Certain Point Of View, an anthology book featuring 40 stories by 40 authors all focused on different background characters from the 1977 film. The book was a massive success, and since then many fans have been clamoring for a sequel based around another film.

Well, Lucasfilm listened and they have now announced the follow up book From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back, which will give the same treatment to the fifth chapter of the Skywalker Saga. This book will also be celebrating The Empire Strikes Back's 40th anniversary, which is happening this year, and has enlisted 40 authors to write 40 unique stories about various characters with only limited screen time in the 1980 blockbuster. You can view the cover art for the book below:

While StarWars.com promises that more will be revealed about the book this upcoming Monday, including the full official list of authors, Twitter user @seh221 has managed to compile a nearly complete list of authors who individually tweeted about their involvement using the hashtag #FromaCertainPOVStrikesBack.
