First Reactions To 'The Mandalorian' Are Overwhelmingly Positive

By: Benjamin Hart

As Star Wars fans we have a lot of amazing content to look forward over the next couple of months, one being the first ever live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. The series is set to premiere next month on Disney+. However, a few lucky people have already gotten a chance to see some footage from the series, and their reactions may tell us what we can expect from "Mando".

Earlier today a press event was held in Los Angeles where members of the cast and crew appeared, including executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, as well as series stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), Gina Carano (Cara Dune), and Carl Weathers (Greef Carga). They spoke about various things related to season one of The Mandalorian, and also provided some updates on season two.

Our friend Johnamarie Macias from The Wookiee Gunner shared a rundown of some of the most interesting tidbits revealed during the press conference:

Also at the event, members of the press were shown almost 30 minutes of footage from the first three episodes of The Mandalorian. Below we've collected various reactions from Twitter, all of which were extremely positive. Many praised the aesthetic of the filmmaking, the acting, the musical score, and much more. You can read them all below:
And last, but not least, Jon Favreau's recent birthday was honored with a cake made to look like the helmet of The Mandalorian:
Special thanks to everyone above who shared their first impressions! The Mandalorian is set to debut when Disney+ launches on November 12th. The series stars Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian, Gina Carrano as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers as Greef Carga, and Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, as well as Nick Nolte, Werner Herzog, Emily Swallow, and Omid Abtahi in unknown roles. The Mandalorian is executive produced by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, with episodes directed by Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Deborah Chow, and Rick Famuyiwa, and Taika Waititi.
