Extended Trailer For 'Star Wars Resistance' Released

By: Dominic Jones

Lucasfilm has released a brand new extended trailer for Star Wars Resistance today.  The trailer features more of a mix between the speeder racing and the battle between The First Order and The Resistance than in the first trailer.  In addition to seeing more from main characters Kazuda Xiono, Torra Doza, Yeager, Neeku, and Hype Fazon, as well as more from Poe Dameron (voiced by Oscar Isaac) and our first looks at Captain Phasma (voiced by Gwendoline Christie) and General Leia (voiced by Rachel Butera).  You can check out the trailer below,

To learn more about some of the characters featured in the trailer, you can check out the behind the scenes videos about Team Fireball and The AcesResistance is slated to begin with a two-part episode, titled "The Recruit", on October 7th at 10pm on Disney Channel.  You can read preview synopses of the first four episodes here.

The trailer gives us much more of an overview of the types of stories we can expect to see on the series.  In addition to stories about racing and the racing culture on the Colossus, we can also expect to see stories involving pirate attacks, sea monsters, and, of course, the battle with the First Order.  It looks like before this first season is done, the First Order will have discovered Kaz's mission and will attack the Colossus.  In addition, it looks like we will actually get to see a bit more about what The First Order is really like, including another visit to Starkiller Base (or our first visit, depending on your point of view), as well as life in The Resistance before the actual war breaks out in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

Star Wars Resistance premieres October 7th at 10pm on Disney Channel and stars Christopher Sean (Days of Our Lives), Suzie McGrath (East Enders), Scott Lawrence (Legion), Myrna Velasco (Elena of Avalor), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), Donald Faison (Scrubs), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), Jim Rash (Community), Stephen Stanton (Rogue One), Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Star Wars Rebels), and Rachel Butera (Tammy’s Tiny Tea Time).  The series is executive produced by Dave Filoni Athena Portillo, Justin Ridge, and Brandon Auman.
