Rumor: The New 'Episode IX' Working Title is "trIXie"

By: Dominic Jones

Filming on Star Wars Episode IX, the final installment in the sequel trilogy, is slated to begin next month.  It had previously been reported that the working title for the film was "Black Diamond", however Fantha Tracks (who first reported "Black Diamond" title) is now reporting that the working title has been changed to "trIXie".  Previous Star Wars films have used working titles such as "Blue Harvest" for Return of the Jedi, "Red Cup" for Solo, "AVCO" for The Force Awakens, and "Jar Jar's Big Adventure" for Attack of the Clones.

Star Wars Episode IX hits theaters on December 20th, 2019.  The film will be directed JJ Abrams with a script by Abrams and Chris Terrio.
