With today being Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you!) and Solo: A Star Wars Story hitting theaters later this month, director Ron Howard made some TV appearances to promote the film he directed, stopping by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Good Morning America to promote the film. Howard talked about what it was like taking over for directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller midway through production, his history with Star Wars and George Lucas, and what audiences can expect from the film. Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25th, 2018 and stars Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!) as Han Solo, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Qi'Ra, Woody Harrelson (True Detective) as Tobias Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) as L3-37, Thandie Newton (Westworld) as Val, Paul Bettany (The Avengers) as Dryden Vos, and Joonas Suotamo (The Last Jedi) as Chewbacca. The film is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), with a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time).
