Kevin Feige Discusses How Star Wars Inspired Marvel On 'The Star Wars Show'

By: Benjamin Hart

Right now Star Wars is bigger and better than it ever has been before, but it isn't the only franchise currently firing on all cylinders. Marvel Studios would easily be one of Star Wars' biggest rivals, if it weren't for both of them being cousins within the Disney company. While Kathleen Kennedy leads Lucasfilm as its president, Marvel has Kevin Feige.

On the most recent episode of The Star Wars Show, Kevin Feige appeared as a guest to discuss, of course, Star Wars and his longtime fandom. The Marvel chief sat down with host Anthony Carboni to talk about the upcoming blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War and the 10 years of films that led to it. Feige also revealed how Star Wars inspired the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how it effected his approach to building the massive, interconnected juggernaut.

You can watch the full interview(starting at 2:43) in the video below, which also includes spotlights on an incredible life-size recreation of the Millennium Falcon's interior, and a scale Falcon made entirely of red Solo cups:
