Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Records have announced that the soundtrack for Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope will be re-released in a special vinyl box set later this year, in accordance with the film's 40th anniversary.
This collector's edition set will allow you to listen to a remastered edition of John Williams' classic score for A New Hope on a set of 3 LP records. The third disc includes two holographic features; the Death Star on side A, and the 40th anniversary logo on side B. In addition to the LPs, the box set includes a 48-page hardcover book which features a duo of essays focused on John Williams' Star Wars score, as well a collection of rare behind the scenes photos from A New Hope.
The entire set will be available for purchase on December 1st, and you can pre-order your very own by visiting Disney's online music store.
