In the past few weeks we've heard about a couple of actors wrapping up their time shooting their scenes for the upcoming untitled Han Solo film. Director Ron Howard has taken to Twitter in the past few weeks to highlight the different stars of his film, like Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), Paul Bettany, and Emilia Clarke (Kura), who have all completed their scenes for the film. Today took to highlight another star of his film, tweeting a photo of himself and Westworld star Thandie Newton on the set with the caption, "@thandienewton returned 2 #TheGalaxy to light up some key new #UntitledHanSolo scenes then back to #Westworld. What a powerhouse talent!" Check it out below,

Little is known about Newton's character in the upcoming film, but our friend Pete Morrison noticed something intriguing in the picture Howard posted that may offer a clue.

It looks like Thandie may be playing and Imperial Officer of some kind. Granted, there's always the possibility that Newton's character is following in the footsteps of Han and Luke, Jyn and Cassian, and Finn and Rose and is actually a good guy going undercover in the Empire. Though, given how many times we've seen that before, I would hope that the Han Solo movie will avoid that plot device and go with something more original.
The untitled young Han Solo film hits theaters on May 25th, 2018 and stars
Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!) as Han Solo, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia
Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Kura, Woody Harrelson (True Detective) as Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Thandie Newton (Westworld), and Paul Bettany (The Avengers). The film is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), with a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time).
