Paul Bettany Wraps Filming On The Han Solo Film

By: Benjamin Hart

It was only mere weeks ago when we learned that Michael K. Williams had dropped out of the untitled Han Solo film, and Paul Bettany had seemingly taken over in his place. Now director Ron Howard has confirmed that Bettany has finished his scenes for the upcoming film.

Earlier today on Twitter, Howard posted a new photo of himself with Paul Bettany on set. The set appears to be the same one seen in a behind the scenes video and photos that leaked several months ago. We also catch a clearer look at Bettany's costume in the photo. The caption on the image reads, "Had to say goodbye to my friend @Paul_Bettany today. Another terrific performance from a world class talent.":

What's perhaps even more interesting about the photo is what, or who, might be lurking in the background. The guys over at the Boba Fett Fan Club noticed a familiar silhouette behind and to the left of Bettany and Howard. Could it actually be Boba Fett? Take a look at the comparison image below and decide for yourself:

Paul Bettany(and possibly Boba Fett) will star alongside Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!) as Han Solo, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Woody Harrelson (True Detective) as Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Thandie Newton (Westworld), and Joonas Suotamo (The Force Awakens) as Chewbacca.  The film is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), with a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time). The still untitled young Han Solo film hits theaters on May 25th, 2018.
