We are now a little over 80 days until the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in theaters! With a trailer seemingly only mere days away, hype for the film is at an all time time high. To add fuel to the fire, a handful of new images from Episode VIII have recently surfaced treating us to new looks at a few characters.
Today, Collider got their hands on a full gallery of new, high quality photos from The Last Jedi. While a large portion of them have been previously seen, some are brand new. The first is a new look at Captain Phasma, played by Gwendoline Christie. Phasma appears in some type of First Order environment with Stormtroopers standing behind her:
The second one is a new shot of Domhnall Gleeson's General Hux, who is shown standing on what appears to be the bridge of a Star Destroyer:
Included with the gallery is the official synopsis for The Last Jedi, which reads:
"In Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the Skywalker saga continues as the heroes of The Force Awakens join the galactic legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and shocking revelations of the past. Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in U.S. theaters on December 15, 2017."
In addition to that, the gallery included a new behind the scenes image, along several high quality, uncropped versions of images that were previously released. Included is a shot of director Rian Johnson with Chewbacca(Joonas Suotamo) in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. We also get clearer looks at Canto Bight, Finn in his Ski Speeder, and a Porg.
