There is no question that Rian Johnson is great director, but how's his fastball? The Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi writer and director took to Twitter today to announce that he would be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers game on July 7th, which happens to be Star Wars Day at the ballpark. Johnson tweeted, "Star Wars night at @Dodgers Stadium is 7/7 & I’m throwing out the first pitch. Legit more nervous about this than the premiere of the movie."

Johnson did get some support from former director of the Han Solo film, Chris Miller, who replied to Johnson saying, "I threw out 1st pitch at Mariners Lego Movie day-- missed wide left. Announcer said 'I guess not *everything* is awesome'".Come on down & say hi, because if this goes badly it may be the last time I am ever seen in public. In addition to having Johnson throw out the first pitch, Star Wars Night at the Dodgers game will also feature an exclusive BB-8 T-shirt. You can get your tickets here.I am practicing my laughing-it-off embarrassed head shake as much as my pitch.— Rian Johnson (@rianjohnson) July 3, 2017
