'Star Wars: From A Certain Point of View' Anthology Book Announced

Yesterday, Del Rey Publishing teased a new Star Wars project with the code name "Operation Blue Milk". Today they announced that "Operation Blue Milk" refers to an anthology book titled Star Wars: From A Certain Point of View.  The book is being released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars and will retell the story of A New Hope from the point of view of the background characters.  Forty authors are involved in the project, each having written one chapter from the point of view of a different character.

On top of that, all proceeds from the sale of the book will go to support the First Book charity, a nonprofit which provides books and learning materials to educators and other organisations supporting children in need.

"In celebration of Star Wars’ 40th anniversary, Del Rey is going to shine the spotlight on those unsung weirdos, heroes, and villains with a unique, new anthology. Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View, coming October 2017, will bring together more than 40 authors for 40 stories. Each will be told from the perspective of background characters of A New Hope — from X-wing pilots who helped Luke destroy the Death Star to the stormtroopers who never quite could find the droids they were looking for."
