Rumor: Description of Three Shots From First 'The Last Jedi' Trailer

By: Dominic Jones

With Star Wars Celebration coming up next month in Orlando, Florida, anticipation is building for the first trailer for The Last Jedi which will most likely be debuting there.  What will be seen in that first trailer is still something of a mystery (though the footage screened for Disney Investors seems like a safe guide for what to expect).  The team over at Star Wars News Net has heard some interesting tidbits about three shots we may be seeing in that first trailer.  As usual, there is a chance this may not be true but if you are trying to avoid all The Last Jedi spoilers (or would rather just wait to see the trailer) stop reading now.  This is your SPOILER ALERT!

  • There will be a shot of a large city of some sorts
  • Also there will be what looks to be an important procession and a feast.
  • There is a ship which looks to be a new design or an X-Wing of sorts appearing above a blue planet at high speed.
The large city and the procession or feast scene both sound like they could have something to do with the scenes shot in Dubrovnik last year.  As for the other shot of a ship approaching the planet, hopefully it is a new design.  One of the common criticisms of The Force Awakens is that there were not enough new ship designs, hopefully this is something The Last Jedi can rectify.

As always, this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
