By Ciaran Duggan,

A Star Wars fan in the UK has reportedly assaulted another man outside a cinema after watching 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'.

The incident allegedly took place outside the first night showing of Rogue One at Vue Cinema in the capital city of Wales, Cardiff, in the early hours of December 16 last year.

The defendant pleaded 'not guilty' to charges of assault by 'beating and assault with intent to commit robbery'.

The defendant's lawyer, David Leathley, said "My client will be calling one witness whom he knows only as 'The Jedi' - that name belonging to Star Wars, my lady."

The Judge granted the defendant bail.
