Details about the upcoming film Star Wars: The Last Jedi are still scare, which makes sense given that the marketing for the film isn't expected to really kick off until Spring (probably Star Wars Celebration in April). In the meantime, our friends over at MakingStarWars.net have heard some interesting details about a new planet we'll see in The Last Jedi. As usual, there is is a chance this may not be true but if you are trying to avoid all The Last Jedi spoilers then stop reading now. This is your SPOILER ALERT!

According to Making Star Wars, one of the new planet we'll be seeing in the new film is described as looking like "Mars with snow". This is believed to be a planet under First Order control. According to MSW's Jason Ward,
"The way I heard the set described, it was like Mars, a red ground, but
covered with a light layer of snow, especially on the banks and rim of a
hallway-sized trench. So imagine “Mars if it lightly snowed” is the
mantra for this place. We heard the interiors were not unlike Starkiller
Base in the sense that you can see the Death Star-style tech and
architecture blending in with the rocks and natural environment."
As Jason points out, the red colour of this planet would contrast nicely with the green and blue world of Ach-To. It will also be interesting to see what the First Order is outside of Starkiller Base. Is there more to this planet than just a military base? What is life like under First Order rule for average citizens?
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December
15th and stars Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, and
Carrie Fisher.
As always, this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
