Felicity Jones Talks About Star Wars Fandom

By Ciaran Duggan,

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story star Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso) discussed the relationship she has with the Star Wars fan community in a recent interview on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, while promoting her role in the upcoming film Inferno.

Take a look at the clip below to see Felicity talk about her exciting experience with the community.

Jimmy Kimmel: Are you prepared and fully understand, and I presume that you do, what is about to happen when Star Wars: Rogue One comes out that you will never probably never sleep again that you will be surrounded by a horde of nerds wherever you go from the moment that movie comes out until you die?

Felicity Jones: I feel like I'm slowly joining the community. Recently we were sent a box of toy laser guns, which I have to say is the most fun ever. They are amazing. incredible, especially when you are at home and you don't have too much to do and a bit bored. I was at home with my boyfriend and we were just shooting each other with pretend lasers.

Jimmy Kimmel: So you guys are turning into nerds as a result of this movie?

Felicity Jones: I am joining the nerd community, I'm with them.

Felicity Jones also brought in a gift for Jimmy Kimmel from the United Kingdom. She gave Jimmy a LEGO model of Jyn Erso, the character that Felicity plays in the upcoming Rogue One.

Inadvertently, Lucasfilm's marketing campaign for Rogue One has started sooner than expected because of Felicity's starring role in the upcoming Inferno, which debuts in cinemas next month, which has led to an increase in appearances for interviews.

What do you make of Felicity Jones' comments about Star Wars fandom? The fact that she's joining the "nerd community" as Felicity termed it.
