Kevin Kiner has released the original soundtrack for the first season of Star Wars: Rebels. The album is composed of 28 soundtracks and the length of each soundtrack ranges from 35 seconds to three and a quarter minutes. The album is available to download today on digital platforms, including i-Tunes and Spotify. Take a look at the track list down below:
The official distribution of the soundtrack has got some Star Wars Rebels fans very excited:

Having listened to the original soundtrack, in it's entirety, I can say that there are a couple of tracks which really stand out. Some characters of the show are given their own theme such as Ezra, Sabine and The Inquisitor. These soundtracks are merely leitmotifs, which define each individual character's personality and act as a character trademark (you can remember the character from hearing the theme). Other soundtracks, such as TIE Fighter Pursuit, Yoda's Guidance and What's the Force, represent some of Kevin Kiner's best work on Rebels. Kiner expertly weaves in themes from the Star Wars movies and beds them into his own style, as he underscores these well-known themes with his own original content.
The only obvious deficiency in this album revolves around the lack of 'new' material given to fans of the show. In spite of there being 28 tracks, many of them have already been uploaded on StarWars.com or on Kevin Kiner's website, such as the Kanan at the Gate soundtrack. All in all though, I would give this album a solid 7/10. Here are my five favorite tracks from the new album:
2) What's the Force
3) TIE Fighter Pursuit
4) Alliance
5) Ezra's Theme
The season two soundtrack is due for release on September 30, just a week after the premiere for the third season of Star Wars: Rebels airs on Disney XD (8:30PM EST on Saturday 24 September).
