The wait is almost over (hopefully). Our friends over at MakingStarWars.net are reporting that the new trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens will debut on Monday (October 19th) on ESPN during Monday Night Football. In addition, the trailer will apparently introduce a new logo for the film. MSW also reports that an announcement will come from Lucasfilm about 12 hours before the trailer's debut during the game.
If you're looking for more proof that the trailer is coming Monday there's this tweet from Entertainment Weekly's Anthony Breznican, who's been involved in a lot of official The Force Awakens publicity.

My assistant just cleared the schedule for Monday. I asked why, but he took off! ... Hm. pic.twitter.com/ufMvrawBht

As for what's for in the trailer, nobody wants to spoil that but our friend Jason at MSW thinks JJ Abrams has something special in store. According to Jason,
"This trailer is really going to be something special. I don’t want to
spoil it. But I think we’re going to be very happy fans this Monday. I
really think J.J. Abrams has made something special here and I’m going
to sit this one out and hope that it doesn’t leak out. In the past I
only released the teaser descriptions to shut down the fake ones. It
appears we don’t have a problem with that this time."
I guess Star Wars fans and football fans (it's going to be an incredible night for fans of both!) will all want to tune on Monday around 8pm EST to see the Giants take on the Eagles and hopefully get a new glimpse of that galaxy far, far away.
As always this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
