Domhnall Gleeson Talks General Hux Toys & Defends The First Order

By: Benjamin Hart

Recently one of the stars of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Domhnall Gleeson, spoke with MTV's Josh Horowitz about his current film Brooklyn at the Toronto International Film Festival. Of course Horowitz always manages to squeeze Star Wars into his interviews and asked if Gleeson had seen any toys of his character, General Hux. Although initially thinking it may have been photoshopped, he showed off a photo of the a General Hux action figure that his friend sent him. The figure is from the upcoming wave 4 of Hasbro's 6-inch Black series line of figures. Later Horowitz encourages him to explain the First Order's side of the story and asks if General Hux smiles in the film, which produces some humorous responses from Gleeeson. You can watch the full discussion below:

  1. I really like him as an actor. Hope his character is memorable and survives the film

  2. He's got to at least lose an arm... it's tradition!

  3. "Hope his character is memorable and survives the film" - I doubt it, I'd expect neither the first order or the resistance to exist in any meaningful form after this movie.
