From Gallifrey to a Galaxy far, far away? A new report by the Sci-fi Fantasy Network claims that Doctor Who's fourth Doctor, Tom Baker, has been cast in Star Wars in an unknown role. Reportedly, Baker attended a recent Day Of The Doctors convention in the U.K., and while there revealed he has joined the Star Wars universe:
"I’m going to be in this new Star Wars thing, you know?” he told eager fans as he signed his autograph. “I’m going down to record some voices for this new character they’ve created for me, very soon.”"
Baker follows a long line of actors who've made the jump from Who to Wars, such as Jeremy Bulloch, David Prowse, Brian Blessed, Peter Cushing, and more recently, David Tennant. Similarly to how Tennant voiced the Lightsaber constructing teacher Droid Professor Huyang in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, I think it's safe to assume Tom Baker will voice a character in Star Wars Rebels. What type of character might that be? We'll have to wait and see. Of course, this is all rumors and speculation for now, so please take it as such until officially confirmed by Lucasfilm.
