On top of all the amazing imagery we are going to see in The Force Awakens, it's what we're going to hear that will be really special. Legendary composer John Williams is currently scoring the music for the next Star Wars film with the superb freelance orchestra in Los Angeles, California. Our friends at Jedi News alerted us to an intriguing report from the John Williams Fan Network, in which they claim to have a quote from an anonymous source who was involved in a recording session in June:
“I did go to one of the sessions in June and it was beyond anything I have experienced musically in my life. It was a true “full circle” moment. This man has done more to introduce people to music than anyone on the planet. And here was a room full of us, all with our own Star Wars music story, being part of this historic recording session. I still can’t believe how lucky I was to be there for that one session.”
It certainly sounds incredible. Some in the past have suggested that the music of Star Wars is a character all it's own, and that's very much due to Williams brilliance in developing the many themes heard in the first six films. All of us fans can't wait to hear that character again when Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens hits the big screen on December 18th!
