UPDATE: The release has finally been confirmed via official channels! Walt Disney Records posted the link to the pre-order today on Facebook saying, "Star Wars
episode VII is all we can think about so we’re glad to finally have
Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV soundtrack available to get us through in
the mean time!"
Original Story:
It's been a long time coming but it seems that Lucasfilm is finally releasing a soundtrack for the Emmy award winning animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The music for the series was composed by Kevin Kiner, who has since moved on to working on Star Wars Rebels. The soundtrack album is available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon Prime Music now and is slated for a November 10th release.
Original Story:
The track list seems to contains music from all the seasons, though there does seem to be a bit of an emphasis on the later seasons (not that I'm complaining those are some of my favorite episodes and some of my favorite music!) And, for those of you wondering, yes these are all different tracks from what Kiner released (for free) on his website earlier in the year. No word yet on that vinyl release, though...
