UPDATE: Bob Iger took to CNBC again and told the world that no decision has been made on whether they would bring back the big three for Episode VII. Iger stated "George Lucas was quoted as saying they would, but we haven't made an official announcement yet". He did however confirm that discussions were being had with the actors! He stated that they were waiting on Michael Arndt's script before making any decisions.

Ever since the announcement of Star Wars Episode VII, rumors have been circulating about whether Mark Hamil, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford would reprise their roles as Luke, Leia, and Han in the film. Well now we have it straight from the maker's mouth. George Lucas recently spoke with Business Magazine and confirmed that all three would return in Episode VII saying, "We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison—or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation." Lucas appears to notice that he probably shouldn't be saying this yet and tried to back track, following that up with, "Maybe I’m not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them. I won’t say whether the negotiations were successful or not."
