Cancelled Star Wars Fighting Game Footage Revealed

By: Benjamin Hart

Prepare to have your hearts ripped out once again, Star Wars gamers. Footage from a long canceled Star Wars fighting game has surfaced. Polygon has the scoop, saying:
"This tech demo offers a glimpse at a Star Wars fighting game that was in development on the original Xbox at Studio Gigante, the defunct company co-founded by Robomodo president Josh Tsui.
The footage comes from an "in engine [sic] tech demo," according to Tsui, and consists of two rounds of a fight between Darth Maul, the antagonist of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and Anakin Skywalker. Fighting action in the game appears to take place in a 3D space instead of a 2D plane."
Tsui was reportedly pitching the game to publishers when the company behind it was forced to close in July of 2005. Now all that remains is the below footage:

So would you like to see this game, or something similar, resurrected? Or do you still just want Battlefront III? Let us know in the comments!
