Episodes II & III in 3D Postponed

By: Benjamin Hart broke the news, and Lucasfilm confirmed, that the 3D re-releases of Episode II Attack of the Clones and Episode III Revenge of the Sith have been "postponed". claims Lucasfilm wants to "focus 100 percent of our efforts on Star Wars: Episode VII in order to ensure the best possible experience for our fans." Initially, before Disney's acquisition of the franchise, all six films were to be re-released in 3D, one per year starting with Episode I The Phantom Menace in 2012. Later it was announced that both Episodes II & III were to be released in October of this year. With this revelation it is unclear if the films are actually being put off until a later date, or if "postponed" is a nice way of saying "Canceled". There is also no word on the fate of the Original Trilogy in 3D. Lucasfilm promises "further information about our 3D release plans at a later date", so we will keep you posted on future developments.
