It's New York Comic Con time and as usual the Star Wars Expanded Universe has a huge presence there. Del Rey Books, who published the Star Wars EU novels hosted a panel this afternoon where the announced several new projects. First it was announced that the third novel in the stand alone series called "Rebels" will feature Han Solo and will be written by James S. A. Corey. The first two novels in this series were announced at Celebration VI in august and will feature Leia and Luke respectively and will be written by Martha Wells and Kevin Hearns respectively. The other major announcement was that John Jackson Miller, author of the Lost Tribe of the Sith ebooks and Knight Errant novel (as well as numerous Star Wars comics including Knights of the Old Republic and Knight Errant) will be writing a new novel tentatively titled Kenobi, which will be set after the events of Episode III. No word on the Matt Stover/Republic Commando rumor.
