New Star Wars Snowboarding Experience

By: Savanna Keifer
It was recently announced that Burton Snowboards and Star Wars would be teaming up for a whole new snowboarding experience at the Sierra resort in South Lake Tahoe, California this winter. This addition will be a program to teach groms how to snowboard properly with Jedi Master Yoda’s balance, movement, and control techniques.

Children ages 3 and up can learn to snowboard using Burton’s innovative tool called the Riglet Reel. The Riglet Reel will allow snowboard instructors to tow their students and teach them simple balance methods. Burton also has a special line of boards, bindings, and boots to help youngsters get the perfect fit.
Burton’s Global Resort Director, Jeff Boliba, says:

“Our youth programs demonstrate that kids as young as three can start snowboarding if they are provided with qualified instruction that utilizes terrain-based features and equipment designed for beginners. The Burton Star Wars Experience at Sierra will give ‘younglings’ this tailored experience so they can be successful at snowboarding at a super young age.”

The Burton Star Wars Experience is an all-day program with the Riglet Reel rental, lunch, and lots of fun with Jedi Knights for $135 per day. The ‘3-Pak’ combo lowers the price to $81 per day and is valid any day, all season long with no restrictions.
