While Solo: A Star Wars Story is still less than a month away, the film that has been at the forefront of everyone's minds this past week is Avengers: Infinity War. The culmination of 10 years of storytelling in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Infinity War shook things up big time, which has resulted in incredible box office returns so far.

For its opening weekend alone, Avengers: Infinity War earned $257,698,183 domestically, placing it at #1 on the North American opening weekend box office charts. The previous record holder was none other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which banked $247,966,675 for its opening weekend in 2015.

In response to the news, Lucasfilm revealed a message of congratulations to Marvel Studios on their outstanding achievement. The message reads; "From a Galaxy far, far away... to earth's mightiest heroes, congratulations on the biggest opening weekend ever! From Kathy and everyone at Lucasfilm!" The note includes imagery of Rey's hand, clutching the Skywalker Lightsaber, handing it off to the open, metallic hand of Iron Man. You can view the message below:

These types of notes are long standing tradition among Hollywood studios, especially going back to the friendly rivarly between George Lucas and Steve Spielberg in the 70's and 80's. You can check out a few examples of these messages sent back and forth through Star Wars' history below:

From Star Wars to Titanic in 1997:
