The mother of dragons has left the galaxy far, far away.  Director Ron Howard announced today in an Instagram post that Emilia Clare (Game of Thrones) had completed filming all of her scenes for the upcoming untitled Han Solo film.  Howard made the announcement with a picture of him and Clarke on set with the caption, "#emiliaclarke gave us a terrific performance & left! She completed principal photography and is off on her next adventure. Busy girl. We miss her already! Talented & great to work with #UntitledHanSoloMovie."  Check it out for yourself below,

Clarke reposted the image on her account, with caption, "Well, now that really was an adventure. The perfection that is @realronhoward posted this little nugget and I had to share again.
#untitledhansolomovie was a trip and a half but this genius here made it one I'll never forget."

Little is known about Clarke's role in the film and how she will interact with the young Han Solo.  Her character's name was revealed to be Kura recently, thanks to an interview with Michael K. Williams (whose role was cut from the film due to the extended reshoots which resulted from the infamous directors change).  Williams said at the time that his character (now played by Paul Bettany) was, "a link between Han Solo and Emilia’s character, Kira."  MakingStarWars.net later confirmed that the correct spelling of the name is Kura.

With her filming now completed, Clarke's next project is likely the eighth and final season of HBO's Game of Thrones where she stars as Daenerys Targaryen.  Production is slated to begin on that in October.

The untitled young Han Solo film hits theaters on May 25th, 2018 and stars Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!) as Han Solo, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Kura, Woody Harrelson (True Detective) as Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Thandie Newton (Westworld), and Paul Bettany (The Avengers).  The film is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), with a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time).
