Donald Glover had a great night at the Emmys on Sunday, picking up Emmys for Best Actor in a Comedy Series and Best Directing for a Comedy Series for his work on the FX Atlanta, which he created.  Entertainment Tonight asked Glover, who stars a Lando Calrissian in the upcoming young Han Solo movie, if he would be interested in directing a future Star Wars movie.

Glover, who became the first black director to win an Emmy for Best Directing in a Comedy Series, replied, "I would be honored, but it's a big plate, its a big plate. That's a buffet plate.  I don't know if I'm ready for that yet."

He also commented briefly on the directors change on the Han Solo movie, saying that he got "three great directors for the price of one."
Glover was one of three Star Wars stars who picked up awards on Sunday.  In addition,Riz Ahmed, who played Bodhi Rook in Rogue One, won for Lead Actor in a Limited Series for his work on HBO's The Night Of, while Laura Dern, who plays Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo in The Last Jedi, won for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her work on HBO's Big Little Lies.

The untitled young Han Solo film hits theaters on May 25th, 2018 and stars Alden Ehrenreich (Hail Caesar!) as Han Solo, Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Kura, Woody Harrelson (True Detective) as Beckett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Thandie Newton (Westworld), and Paul Bettany (The Avengers).  The film is directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind), with a script by Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back) and his son Jon Kasdan (The First Time).
