A two-minute special Star Wars Adidas advert was broadcast on this day back in 2010.  

The advertisement comprised of a re-edited version of the cantina scene from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

The commercial featured cameo appearances from Daft Punk, Snoop Dogg, Oasis' Noel Gallagher, England footballer David Beckham and a whole host of other celebrities.

The advert was created to promote the 2010 FIFA World Cup, hosted in South Africa, and served to be a well executed piece of promotional eye candy for the audience.

I mean, who wouldn't want to see a lighsaber-wielding Snoop Dogg? Take a look at the ad for yourselves down below:
