Hayden Christensen's Daughter Won't Be Seeing 'Star Wars' For a While

By: Dominic Jones

When Luke Skywalker found out that Darth Vader was his father it was the most traumatizing moment in his life.  While it almost certainly won't be that bad for Hayden Christensen's two year old daughter, Briar Rose, when she eventually sees the Star Wars movies and realizes her dad has the same face as the dark lord of the Sith.  Because of this, Christensen's wife Rachel Bilson (The O.C., Hart of Dixie) thinks they'll avoid showing her Star Wars for as long as possible.

Bilson told People that her and Christensen would avoid letting their daughter in on their actor lives "for as long as possible.  Especially because her dad is who he is."  She clarified saying, "She might be like, ‘Oh no! Darth Vader’s my dad!"

But it's not like Darth Vader being your dad will be all bad for young Briar Rose.  As Bilson explains, "No one’s gonna mess with her on the playground."

Even if Bilson and Christensen avoid showing Briar Rose the Star Wars movies for a few more years it doesn't look like her life, based on Bilson's Instagram, will be devoid of Star Wars (it looks as if she has already begun her lightsaber lessons!)

After mostly staying away from Star Wars after Revenge of the Sith, Christensen made his grand return at Star Wars Celebration Orlando for the 40th anniversary celebration where he received a massive standing ovation.
