"We love the spirit of the fans here...the many Star Wars fans, who are such sincere fans, that want to get involved in the show."

The event director of Star Wars Celebration, Mary Franklin, has spoken to the Star Wars Underworld about why Celebration Orlando 2017 is a special one.

Speaking with the Star Wars Underworld, the global event director said: "We have so many interactive events at this Celebration (Orlando 2017).

"Fans love to see and watch things but they also like to get involved in the show and I think this one has really stood out for that. The quality of the content that Lucasfilm and Disney brought to this show, which is just unsurpassed."

Franklin has worked for Lucasfilm from 2001 to 2015. She is the former Senior Events lead for Lucasfilm Ltd and been responsible for running a range of marketing and promotional events for the company, including Star Wars Celebration, as well as the yearly E3 Expo and San Diego Comic-Con International.

Star Wars Celebration Orlando is the 12th Celebration in its history and the fourth Star Wars convention since Disney bought Lucasfilm at the end of 2012.

The closing ceremony did not announce the location of the next Star Wars Celebration, but they did round up the experience of fans who attended the Orlando convention. So, why should fans come to the next Star Wars fan convention?

"I think they want to come and see what they would be bringing to the next one because I'm sure it's going to be amazing.

Every Celebration we learn about ways to make it better for the fans, you know to give a better experience, to show different content and different experiences. I think there's always a good reason to turn up."
