Earlier today a new behind the scenes featurette for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released by Lucasfilm. The video gives fascinating new looks at the film including never before seen footage and new dialogue. In addition, there was a bit of an Easter Egg in the featurette that answers a long standing question about the film.
Our friends at Furious Fanboys were quick to notice that at the end of the video, under the Rogue One logo, the official rating was finally revealed. Rogue One has been rated PG-13. The explanation for the rating reads; "Extended sequences of sci-fi violence and action." Keeping in mind that Star Wars: The Force Awakens was rated PG-13 last year for "sci-fi action violence", we can deduce that Rogue One may be significantly more intense than it's predecessor.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story blasts its way into theaters on December 16th!
