This past weekend at New York Comic Con, a group of Star Wars authors gathered for a very special panel discussion about writing for a galaxy far, far away. The panel included Timothy Zahn (Heir to the Empire, Star Wars: Thrawn), Chuck Wendig (Aftermath, Aftermath: Life Debt), Charles Soule (Marvel's Poe Dameron), James Luceno (Star Wars: Tarkin, Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel) E. K. Johnston (Star Wars: Ahsoka), and Kieron Gillen (Marvel's Darth Vader, Star Wars: Classified). It was moderated by Lucasfilm's senior editor Jennifer Heddle and featured announcements from creative director of Lucasfilm publishing Michael Siglain. Check out the video below,
This panel was a lot of fun to attend (you can spot Steele Saunders and myself in the first frame) and I'm so glad that everyone gets a chance to see it. It was truly amazing to see so many of the most influential people in writing on stage together! And, how great was it to see Chuck Wendig credit Tim Zahn as one of his science fiction influences?Top Image via: The Wookiee Gunner
