New 'Star Wars: Rebels' Season Three Clip Featuring Darth Maul & Hera

By Ciaran Duggan,

Lucasfilm have released a new clip of this week's Star Wars Rebels episode, Holocrons of Fate which features the return of Maul.

The clip shows Maul confront Hera as he coerces her to reveal the location of the Jedi holocron, which we discover is based on the ship. In addition, we learn that it was Hera who convinced Kanan to take Ezra on as his apprentice, demonstrating Hera's leadership qualities. It reminds the audience that whilst Kanan is a Jedi, he is not an all knowing and wise being; his character is inherently flawed.

DARTH DADDY's CUSTOMIZING CORNER: "CUSTOMIZING THE CLONE WARS" SHOW

So  if you are a fan of The Clone Wars animated series. then I highly recommend you watch a new Star Wars themed videocast that started earlier this year. The YouTube series is hosted by Chad Peak aka Peak-OB1 Custom Creations and Darth Daddy and Elias from Customs for the Kid. We're all Star Wars custom action figure artists that were showcased at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim last year in the "Star Wars Custom Action Figure Panel". The Star Wars Underworld audience may already be familiar with me from my "Darth Daddy's Customizing Corner" column that I have been writing here since the beginning of 2014.

In our show, we pay tribute to The Clone Wars TV series through plastic. Action figure art to be exact. The Clone Wars was one of our favorite installments from Star Wars franchise and me and Chad were both big supporters of the "Save The Clone Wars" movement. Now, we understand that all things come to pass, and while we accepted the show's demise, we decided that although the show was no more, we can keep the show alive in our own way.

In each show, we spend a little time talking about the content in the episodes, and take the time to point out the easter eggs too. In this way, we aren't very different from your average Star Wars review show. Well, the similarities stop there. The unique thing about "Customizing The Clone Wars", is that little something extra.

"What is so special about it?" you ask.

Well, we showcase Clone Wars custom action figures that were never produced from each Clone Wars episode. So many interesting characters never made it into action figure form and out onto store pegs, but many of these characters were compelling enough that we wish that they did. In each episode we try to feature at least five action figures per episode that we made ourselves. On the plus side, even if you are very familiar with our work, you can still see an action figure that you never saw before because we're still actively making new ones. Sometimes we find ourselves making a new figure the week before our next episode airs and you can get an exclusive reveal of a new piece when you tune in.

We  also take the time to show the work of other action figure artists, and their noteworthy contributions to the Clone Wars 3.75" action figure line. While we share images of our creations, the audience receives details about the fabrication of each figure including action figure recipes, as well as the tools, mediums and techniques used.

The photos pictured below are only a small sample of what is on display.

The episode saw the return of many of the previously established characters, and also featured the introduction of several new ones. New 'Star Wars' Exhibition Coming To London

By Ciaran Duggan,

Fans of the Star Wars saga will be able to visit a special 'Star Wars' exhibition, which will feature original costumes from the franchise, in England later this year.

It seems England, notably London, has become the epicentre for all things Star Wars this year, as London was the host city for the latest Star Wars: Celebration convention and is the place where the Episode VIII production studios are based, at Pinewood. Naturally it makes sense that London would be the host city for another Star Wars exhibition.

Over 200 original props and costumes from all of the Star Wars movies, including the most recent film: The Force Awakens, will be displayed in a 'Star Wars' exhibition at the 02 in Greenwich, London. Some memorabilia on show will include the robot R2-D2 costume, manned by the late English actor Kenny Baker, as well as the well famous bikini costume worn by Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) in Return of the Jedi

This exhibition is not the first of its kind. According to a BBC report, the exhibition inaugurated in Canada and has since travelled to many other cities across the world, including European cities such as Cologne and Munich.

Rebels Review: 'Steps Into Shadow'

By: Dominic Jones

Star Wars Rebels returned with a bang last night, as "Steps into Shadow" kicked off the third season of the animated series.  While it didn't have the WOW! factor of previous premieres, "Steps into Shadow" was a solid start to the season, introducing us to exciting new characters and shaking up our expectations for the ones we've come to know and love.

The main theme running through this episode is that of consequences.  We really see the effects of the events of last season's finale on Kanan and Ezra.  Kanan has gone into an exile of sorts, secluding himself from the rest of the crew.  This in turn has a significant impact on Ezra, who blames himself for Kanan's blindness and Ahsoka's "death," leading him to turn to the Sith holocron he recovered from Malachor.  But the teachings of the Sith holocron have been taking Ezra down a dark path, and have pushed him to a place where he thinks he doesn't he needs Kanan, even telling him as much.

Report: Justin Ridge Replaces Dave Filoni as Supervising Director of 'Star Wars Rebels' (Updated!)

By: Dominic Jones

It seems there has been a shakeup behind the scenes at Lucasfilm animation.  Big Shiny Robot is reporting that, as of the Season Three premiere of Star Wars Rebels,  Dave Filoni is no longer the Supervising Director of the series.  That's not to say he's no longer working on the series, he remains an executive producer and has been actively involved in the promotion of the new season.  Filoni has held the title of supervising director on two animated Star Wars series now.  He served in that role from 2008-2013 on Star War: The Clone Wars before taking on the role again (as well as the title of executive producer) on Star Wars Rebels in 2014.

By Ciaran Duggan,

A new clip from season three of Star Wars Rebels was released today, which featured a reappearance of the notorious Grand Moff Tarkin. Governor Pryce requests the presence of the 'Seventh Fleet', which she sees as a necessary force to defeat our rebel heroes. This is the first time that the 'Seventh Fleet' has been referenced in the show, which have lead many fans to surmise that the fleet is commanded by the infamous Grand Admiral Thrawn.
