#SWCE Panel Recap: Future Filmmakers

By: Benjamin Hart

Yesterday Star Wars Celebration Europe ended with a bang in London with the "Future Filmmakers" panel just before the closing ceremonies. Kathleen Kennedy and Kiri Hart were the first to take the stage alongside Pablo Hidalgo, and they were later joined by Star Wars: Episode VIII director Rian Johnson, as well as the directors of the upcoming Han Solo standalone film, Chris Miller and Phil Lord. The panel featured several surprises, introduction of Alden Ehrenreich as the new, younger Han Solo, as well as the appearance of some Episode VIII cast members. The SWU team was there to provide live updates from the panel, and we have collected those and much more provide a comprehensive recap of the Future Filmmakers panel. You can see it all below:

In addition, although the panel wasn't streamed live, Flicks And The City recorded large portions of the panel, as well as a backstage interviews with the Chris Miller, Phil Lord and Rian Johnson. You can check those out below:

Star Wars: Episode VIII opens in theaters on December 15th, 2017 and the still untitled Han Solo standalone film is slated for released on May 25th, 2018.
