Filming for Star Wars: Episode VIII has reportedly begun in Dubrovnik, Croatia and tons of new photos and video from the sets have been showing up online. The latest one, courtesy of our friends at Making Star Wars, popped up on Instagram and gives us a brief glimpse at what appears to be a scene being filmed. Of course, if you're sensitive to spoilers and don't want to know anything about Episode VIII, you may want to stop reading. This is your official SPOILER WARNING:
The video is shot from amidst a crowd that appears to be watching the scene being filmed on a staircase from afar. On the starcase itself a lone, black-clad figure appears and walks a few steps down, only to then be picked up and thrown threw the air towards the bottom of the staircase. You can watch the brief footage below:
Some have speculated that the figure could be one of the actors we saw in some previously leaked photos. And being that the character is seen flying through the air could be a sign that the Force is involved in this scene. Could this be confirmation that Luke Skywalker(Mark Hamill), Rey(Daisy Ridley), or even Kylo Ren(Adam Driver) will be involved in the scenes taking place on this planet? Time will tell.
Making Star Wars also got a hold of some more photos of extras in the area, which you can check out here.
Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theaters on December 15th, 2017!
