Gwendoline Christie Confirms She's Back for Episode VIII

By: Dominic Jones

Captain Phasma may have had limited screen time (and limited effectiveness) in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but she still managed to leave an imprint on the Star Wars universe.  And, despite her fate being left ambiguous after Finn, Han, and Chewie threw her in the Starkiller Base trash compactor, she'll be back in Star Wars Episode VIII.  Gwendoline Christie, who portrayed Phasma in The Force Awakens confirmed in an interview with People Magazine on the red carpet at the SAG Awards that she would be back as Phasma in the next episodic Star Wars film.  Check out the video below,

I, for one, am very excited to see Phasma back in Episode VIII.  Hopefully the events of The Force Awakens inspire her to strike back hard against our heroes.
