Kathleen Kennedy Says Episode VIII Scenes to be Shot in Mexico, Confirms Two More Returning Cast Members

By: Dominic Jones

In a recent interview promoting The Force Awakens with the Mexican Website Excelsior, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy revealed that exterior scenes for Star Wars: Episode VIII would be shot in Mexico and that scenes for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story had already been shot in the country.  She also revealed two more cast members from The Force Awakens that would be returning in Episode VIII.  While this isn't too surprising, if you are trying to avoid all Star Wars spoilers you may want to stop reading now.  This is you SPOILER ALERT!
Kennedy confirmed that both Oscar Isaac and John Boyega would be returning in the sequel as Poe Dameron and Finn, respectively.  This comes on the heels of the confirmation that Captain Phasma would also be returning.  We also know from the set reports that Mark Hamill is back, and the returning cast will be joined by newcomer Benecio Del Toro in an unknown role.
