Earlier today, our friends over at MakingStarWars.net released a description of a one minute and fifty second Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer that purportedly will debut at Star Wars Celebration later this month. Now, we are hearing some more information about this trailer. If you don't want to hear anything about the movie or trailer, stop reading now! Spoilers are coming.
An additional description was just released by the Youtube webshow That Hashtag Show. You can watch their video embedded below.
The tidbit that I find the most intriguing from That Hashtag Show's report, is the hand picking up Vader's helmet out of the ashes. It sounds very reminiscent of alleged concept art we have seen leaked from the film. Here is a full rundown of everything from the video for anyone unable to watch it:
The opening sequence begins on the desert landscape, a dusty star destroyer crashed into the sand. Looks like it's been there for many years.
Following cut, characters Rey and Finn and our favorite rolling robot BB-8 are making their way through a crowd in the fleamarket a very Tatooine-ish type of scenario.
Next, we have Rey looking through the trees, in a Yavin like scenario, as TIE fighters fly overhead
The next scene he told us about, were pilots running to their ships in their old-school style X-wing gear… yeah… orange!
Now it really starts to get interesting… Towards the end of the trailer, from behind, we will see Han Solo, vest and all. Complete traditional garb, the way we remember his, as he sits down and re-aquiants himself with the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.
As if this wasn’t good enough – brace yourselves – because this last scene has not been described by any other website yet. As far as we know, this is an exclusive…
This last scene shows a gloved hand pulling something out of a pile of ash. As it comes into the clear, it begins to take the shape of Vader’s former helmet… what’s left of it. Here’s the interesting part:
Remains of a skull still reside in the helmet.
One of our sources was able to actually see a scene that is shown in the trailer, and we were sent this artist depiction of a still from the scene. We are told this is not an interpretation, but is a 100% accurate rendering of the scene. In the depiction, you can see characters Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), and Han Solo (Harrison Ford), sitting in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.
I don't know about you, but this really pumps me up for the trailer! I can't wait to see this for myself hopefully in just a handful of days!
