More potential info about the products relating to Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens has hit the web. Our friends over at MakingStarWars.net have chatted with one of their sources and they have a new bit of information. According to their source, the character Kylo Ren (the guy with the awesome new lightsaber) will be appearing on "all the packaging" for Star Wars products related to The Force Awakens. This would include action figures and LEGO sets.
In addition the source confirms another report from Jedi News that the The Force Awakens products would be hitting shelves on September 4th. September 4th is a Friday, could this mean we are in for a midnight madness style release for all the new toys as was done for the Prequel films? We'll likely get an answer to that later in the year.
As for Kylo Ren appearing on all the packaging, that does seem to make sense. We are assuming that Ren will the main villain and a key player in the sequel trilogy so putting him on the packaging would make sense. This would follow suit from the prequel films where Darth Maul and Darth Vader were used on the packaging for Episode I and Episode III products respectively.
As always this is just a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
