Oscar Isaac: Fan Theories About 'The Force Awakens' "Couldn’t be More Far Off-Base"

By: Dominic Jones

There's been a lot of speculating about the plot of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.  Between all the leaks, some fans even think they have part of the story figured out.  Not so, says Oscar Isaac who plays Poe Dameron in the film.  Isaac spoke with Yahoo! recently and opened up on his thoughts about all the leaks and the theories going around.

Isaac said,
"I can’t speak for the cast and crew, I can just speak for myself, but for me I thought, Don’t you want to wait so you can get the real thing?  But it creates excitement for it. I don’t think these little leaks necessarily ruined watching the trailer. And also, the [plot theories] that get that formulated based on these things — they couldn’t be more far off-base."

Clearly I have to start coming up with new theories about the film.  Though this is typical when it comes to big budget films.  Fans speculate, creators say they're completely wrong.  Usually we wind up somewhere in the middle where fans may have puzzled out a few things, but a lot remains secretive.
