The New York Comic Con schedule was released today, via it's mobile app, and the official Star Wars presence at the convention was revealed. There will be two Star Wars panels happening on Saturday October 11th.
The first takes place from 3:15pm to 4:00pm in room 1A14, and is called A New Dawn - The Exciting Future of Star Wars Publishing. The panel features author John Jackson Miller (A New Dawn, Kenobi), Star Wars Rebels star Vanessa Marshall (Hera Syndulla), Pablo Hidalgo of the Lucasfilm story group, Senior Editor at Lucasfilm Jennifer Hedle, and Del Rey Editor Shelly Shapiro. They will discuss the recently released Star Wars: A New Dawn as well as all the upcoming (Canon) novels coming from Del Rey.
The second panel is simply called Star Wars Rebels and will feature an exclusive preview of the upcoming episodes in Season 1. It takes place on the Empire Stage 1-E from 5:45-6:45. The panel will feature series star Vanessa Marshall (Hera Syndulla), and Lucasfilm story group member Pablo Hidalgo.
You can read the official descriptions of the panels on the NYCC Mobile App, which you can download here.
I must say I'm very excited about these panels (though mildly frusterated that the Rebels panel is up against the preview panel for Marvel's Netflix 'Daredevil' series, but as they always say about conventions, you can't see it all). The Star Wars Underworld will have a sizable presence there. I will be there, along with my fellow SWU team members Chris and Lillian, so if you see us (at least one of us will be in an SWU T-shirt) come up and say hello!
New York Comic Con takes place from October 9th-12th at the Javits Center in Manhattan. Get your tickets here.
